The 2018 Festival of Nations takes place from May 3-6, 2018 at the Saint Paul RiverCentre. The Festival of Nations is an all ages event. Many types of ethnic groups come together to celebrate heritage and diversity as well as share experience and culture. There is a lot of great food at this event too. Music, dance and more are offered at this event.
The 2018 Mayday Parade takes place May 6, 2018 at Powderhorn Park. The MayDay Parade and ceremony has become a neighborhood ritual for almost 50,000 people in the Minneapolis area. The festivities include puppet shows, masks, music and street performances.
The Fulton Gran Fondo Pre-Ride Feast is going on May 11, 2018 from 4-8 pm. The pre-ride feast takes place at the Northeast Minneapolis Brewery. Featuring Chef Scott Pampuch and the Fulton Taproom Kitchen crew, there will be an entire hog roasted. Tangletown Gardens is helping with pulled pork and other items at the event as well. Andy Cook will be playing music at the event with songs from his newly released album.
The Art-a-Whirl is May 18-20, 2018 in Northeast Minneapolis. It is presented by the Northeast Minneapolis Arts Association (NEMAA). The event is free. It’s an open studio tour. Tour our city’s private artist studios and galleries. You can also purchase original artwork at the event too. According to information available online, the event has become the largest open studio tour in the country over the course of 20 years in the making.
Minnesota Lynx Basketball Team Home Opener is May 20th, 2018 at 4:00pm at the Target Center in Minneapolis. The team is fighting defend their 2017 WNBA Championship. The team will kick things off at home in a game against the Los Angeles Sparks. It will be an emotional experience for the players and fans.
